Mid Century Vintage Teak & Walnut Desk by Morris of Glasgow with 4 drawers and retractable concealed additional leafs that slot neatly underneath the top when not in use. Spacious deep drawers that are beautifully dovetailed and nicely finished to the interior. Original brass handles. Top right drawer has the makers stamp. Sturdy and solid leg frame with no wobbles breaks or repairs. Lovely rich tone and deep grain throughout, the desk has been thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished ready for use The desk top is large and has an over ledge to the rear making it perfect to sit from both sides. The back of the drawers are match finished and therefore the desk is suitable for facing outwards into a room. Exceptional vintage condition throughout. This is a true vintage item from the early 1960’s and may have some slight traces of use but none that affect the overall condition or function. There has been a small repair to the veneer on the corner of the bottom right drawer as shown but it is minor and due to depth of grain is only noticeable on very close inspection. 2 of the brass covers to the feet are missing. The rear one could be re positioned to the front leg but in any event it is not immediately noticeable.
