Butterfly Lounge Sofa by Gerard van den Berg for Montis, 1983

The “Butterfly” sofa, an iconic design from Dutch designer Gerard van den Berg, was manufactured in the early 1980s by Montis. This very comfortable two-seater sofa features a black metal frame and a black leather seat (one piece). In fact, the inspiration of the designer came from making a hole in the sand on the beach.
