Contemporary Design
Mettsass table designed by Ettore Sottsass in Barcelona manufactured by BD. The structure is made of flat sheets of steel, painted in red RAL 3001. The glass is painted in the same color as the structure. Measure: 110 x 110 x H 73 cm In the 1970s, Sottsass made many designs for BD. One of the first was this table baptised with the name “Mettsass”, which dates back to 1972. The table Mettsass has not lost its personality with which Sottsass had designed 40 years ago. BD has reproduced the structure with the same dimensions and colors. Ettore Sottsass (14 September 1917-31 December 2007) was an Italian architect and designer of the late 20th century. His body of designs included furniture, jewelry, glass, lighting and office machine design.
