We are pleased to offer this exquisite Pair of Neoclassical Apothecary Jars from Maison A Collin Porcelaines & Cristaux, from France circa 1870s. These jars are not just decorative pieces; they are examples of actual 19th century Pharmacy Jars of a bygone era.
Each jar a typical neoclassical form , with removable lid. Crafted from high-caliber porcelain. What makes them truly exceptional examples is the hand painted bold violet gilt decorations featuring winged griffins, framed with circular cartouches that bears the stenciled label “Elect : Alkerm :” while the other jar is stenciled with “Man: Lacrym :.”
One jar is marked with the red company backstamp further verifying its authenticity and provenance.
