Contemporary Design
The Fossil Tables are inspired by an unusual combination of archaeology and Mies van der Rohe’s columns in the Barcelona Pavillion. As one lounges around the Fossil tables, the supporting structure is exposed through the translucent resin top. The spine-like table legs stand as fossils waiting to be unearthed. The archaeological adventure of collecting specimens is here brought to a well-balanced sculptural-functional scale in contemporary materials, staying true to Kabinet’s philosophy of future nostalgia.
This table is made of grey elm burl veneer and transparent opaque resin.
