19th century French Neoclassical Walnut Display Armoire ~ Bookcase was crafted from blonde French walnut creating a naturally lighter shade of furnishing that is ideal for today’s airy, casual decors. Taking a cue from 3,000 years of classical architecture, it features a boldly formed crown flanked by a pair of orb finials, and an intriguing bonnet that combines raised panels with burl walnut faces framed by bold molding detail. A brace of full length tapered and fluted columns with urn bases adorn the corners, and separate the glazed side panels from the front cabinet door, all three of which are fitted with luxurious beveled glass. The base below continues the same theme as the bonnet above, and encompasses a full width drawer fitted with a fancy cast brass bale pull, all supported by four bun feet. A brass key guard and knob provide easy access to the spacious interior within, which is ready to customize with glass or wood shelving to your order.
