This important and complete American Federal dining room suite is truly a magnificent find. This suite has remained intact for over 150 years, and is the largest and most spectacular dining suite we have had the pleasure to offer. Totaling 19 pieces, the set is of the absolute highest quality, crafted of mahogany and inlaid with brass. The largest piece, a three pedestal dining table with two leaves, can be used as a large single table or separately as a pair of consoles and a drop leaf table. The 12 neoclassical chairs are all upholstered in rich, cream-colored brocade. The set also includes a sideboard, a breakfront with swan’s neck cresting, a server with a pedestal base, an extremely rare octagonal wine cooler, lined with lead and with space for five bottles, a silver canteen with fitted drawers and a children’s table.
