The Spode Greek pattern pottery, shaped rectangular dish with cantered corners is printed in blue with neo-classical scenes on panels and urns against a fruit and flower ground. An oval central scene is printed with “Centaurs Battling Theseus”
Mark: Printed in blue Copeland & Garrett around Late Spode and siliar impressed.

The neo-classical “Greek” pattern, introduced in 1806, catered to the demand for classical subjects created by the Greek Revival style.
