Diminutive French neoclassical inlaid mahogany games table
France, Circa 1940s
A nice example, with all over intentionally ‘distressed’ finish. The rectangular top with a removable / reservable square top, with flanking inset brown leather vignettes.
This versatile table offers many options for the table top, either the plain wood top, or flip it, to reveal the pine and and ebony inlaid Chess or Checkerboard. The other option is to remove the top, to reveal a inset Inch square inlaid Backgammon board.
The table at each side has one brass mounted 4.5-Inch wide x 4-Inch high working drawer, the left drawer is a ‘dummy drawer’ that is not an actual working drawer.
No game pieces are included.
