Beautiful neoclassical mirror with frame in carved pine wood and gilded with pure gold leaf. The frame is carved with vegetal spirals that run along the entire surface, of great refinement. Furthermore, the decorations in the lower part feature floral spirals, fantastic animals and cornucopias inspired by classical mythology and ancient themes. In the upper part, however, there are vegetal spirals and decorative festoons with a bow, while in the oval in the center a classical style scene is represented. In the scene we see a satyr on the left making the superstitious gesture of the horns, while holding a cup and a thyrsus in his hand. Next to him is a mask and a young man carrying a horn. The mirror is original and contemporary to the frame. Beautiful and very elegant, this mirror is a unique element for furnishing the environment with style and refinement. Lucca manufacture from the neoclassical period, from the end of the 18th century.
