This round off-white soft-paste porcelain soup tureen was made by Paihart & Hautin in their suburban Paris factory. The design is inspired by the Classical movement of the day. The handles and finial have impressed designs. There is an impressed mark on the bottom, inside a shield is impressed “P&H CHOISY 15 “. The shape of this piece is sublime — it looks wonderful no matter where it goes. It is also a great container for flowers or fruit or for your own homemade onion soup. Lovely patina.
