An Italian Neoclassical carved and gilt wood frame mirror from the 19th century. This antique mirror from Italy is rectangular in shape and features a putto carved prominently within its recessed top panel at center, flanked within scrolling foliate and triangular trimmed ends. The longer sides of the wood surround mimic the putto and foliate motif in vertical fashion with the addition of sunflower heads and garland trim, all carved and set within rectangular-framed panels. The gilt is original with a complimentary taupe/beige color about the majority of the frame. The inner glass is a darker smoke tint. This 19th century Italian Neoclassical mirror is nicely-sized, standing approximately 4.75 feet in height.
