Straight-lined, dismountable cabinet standing on 4 stud feet with a front vertically divided by 3 pilasters.
High, triply cranked plinth with 2 large drawers. Above this, the laterally coffered centre section with 2 doors in frame construction and the 3 pilasters, where the middle one of which also functions as a striking strip for the right-hand door. The extraordinary capitals of the pilasters, carved in relief, each consist of an acanthus leaf, crowned by beadwork decoration and a rosette, flanked by 2 individual meander motifs with festoons, and thus do not correspond to any classical order.
The high, overlying cornice is complemented by a gallery with open-worked trefoils between the offsets and on the sides. Above a central field, with carved olive branches and a small bouquet of flowers, a further element with a carved centre cartouche in the form of a lavish bouquet of flowers in a basket can be mounted as a finial.
The doors close with the original lock and key. A missing brass fitting, appropriate to the style and period, was added. The drawer handles are historicist drop handles fitted at a later date.
Inside, the wardrobe is fitted with a partition consisting of 3 shelves and a clothes rail (rail not fitted in the photos). An alternative interior can also be customised according to your wishes.
