Vintage Design
Unusual gustavian and neoclassical chest of drawers from Northern Sweden. The country home chest is from the gustavian, or as it’s also known, the neoclassical period and dates to the years between 1790 to 1800. Painted pine scraped by hand to the original first layer of salmon coloured paint. Authentic patina and a healthy and solid frame. Working drawers. The chest has a geometric trim underneath the table top – this is the most classic and characteristic gustavian decor. Indented profiles on the edges.
