Neoclassical Daybed, France 19th century
Unique Neoclassical daybed, the slightly bent armrests are decorated with hand-carved decor showing a rosette in a diamond shaped field and a lambrequin motif.
This design and motif was developed by the French furniture maker Henri Jacob (1753-1824), he became master in 1779.
The daybed stands on slender Directoire style legs.
It can be complemented by four matching chairs which are offered separately. (Compare the pictures.)
