A pair of Swedish neoclassical painted wood pedestal stands from the early 19th century, with Carrara marble tops. Born in Sweden during the second quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of neoclassical stands features a circular top made of Carrara marble, sitting above an elegant apron, adorned with carved rosettes, bead-and-reel and rais-de-cœur style motifs. Each table is resting on four fluted legs with bulging accents at the top while the lower section is securing an in-curving quadripartite shelf. Painted in a soft grey color showing slight traces of aging, this pair of Swedish neoclassical pedestal stands circa 1830 will bring a graceful presence to any home, perhaps placed in a foyer or living room.
