Neoclassical small carved mirror in the form of a crowned bicephal eagle. Spain, 1930s
Highly decorative frame with a double-headed eagle surmounted by a crown, symmetric wings and tails holding the central circular mirror. This hand carved wood mirror was gilded with gold leaf and shows a nice aged patina.
A nice choice to be placed alone or as a part of a wall composition with other small scale mirrors.
Materials: Carved wood covered with gesso, gold leaf gilt wood and original glass mirrors.
