A fine neoclassical Russian fruitwood marquetry and parquetry games table from the late 18th century, probably Saint Petersburg. With a rectangular rotating and folding top, decorated with elaborate rinceaux scrolling foliage, opening to a gilt-tooled red leather-lined interior respectively within similar inlaid borders, eared corners decorated with foliate rosettes, the frieze decorated with garlands and rosettes, above cabriole legs. When closed, this table serves as a console table.
