Vintage Carved Chinese Celadon Green Jade Lidded Jar/Vase – Custom Base – Presentation Box

Absolutely beautiful – this lidded jar/vase was hand-carved out of a solid block of green jade was purchased by a world traveler sometime in the mid-twentieth century. It features a delicately carved design of intertwined blossoming branches. Which emanate from a “rocky” base. Upon which two cranes are perched. It’s custom carved wooden base is stamped “A28159 921”. Comes in the original presentation box with padded silk interior. A sticker on the side of which has Chinese symbols and the numbers “13188”. On the bottom of the box is a handwritten notation that reads “A28159”.

Jade carving itself measures 3.5″ wide x 3″ deep x 5.25″ high.
Set atop hand-carved both measures 3.5″ wide x 3″ deep x 6.25″ high.

Jade carving and base are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, surface scuffing, or structural issues. Presentation box exterior shows some wear on the edges along with residue left from a now removed label/seal. Box lid interior displays several blue pen marks. See photos for details.
