Stylish writing showcase in massive mahogany and veneer of lamb mahogany Napoleon III.
This furniture has partly a showcase, relaxing by the front on two consoles in curved flowers, foliage and acanthus leaf. The background also supports this structure, framed on each side by a massive mahogany element in gradient that ends in volute. This showcase is equipped with two doors, presenting in their center an ovelong glass. It is decorated with a massive mahogany molding in its periphery, and sculpted decorations: a shell in the lower part, and a compound of flowers and leaves with tape in high part. These leaves, equipped with a lock of up and down origin and its key, open on a particularly neat interior with maple speckled, garnished with a tablet in the mahogany field. The showcase is summoned of a gendarme cap-shaped element also garnished with a shell pattern with foliage and ribbon, and with a small cornice.
The lower part consists of a table whose top is composed of a four parts of symmetrical mahogany braces. It opens by a writing drawer garnished with a leather with sliding storage, whose bottom is made of speckled maple.
The whole rests on four feet nicely curved, molded on each side, which ends in volute, on which we find a carved pattern of shell and acanthus leaf.
This showcase with pleasant curves will find its place in a refined interior, you will appreciate the remarkable work of cabinet maker of this furniture dating from the second empire.
